Britz recommends that you stay at a Qualmark rated holiday park.
At Britz, we only recommend the best, and when it comes to campgrounds in NZ, you can't go past
New Zealand Top 10 Holiday Parks.
Whether you want to stay near beach, thermal springs, national parks or rivers and lakes, you will find a Top 10 nearby. Take advantage of the large, grassy powered sites for campervans and tents and just relax in your Britz.
The kids will love the indoor/outdoor playgrounds, game rooms and swimming pools, and you will love the spa pools, barbeques and tennis courts.
Powered sites, for motorhomes and campervans with 240V mains power facilities, range in price from NZ$30 - NZ$40* per night.
*Prices are indicative only and subject to change.
Things to do before leaving a campground:
- Check you have unplugged your power
- Turn your gas off both inside the vehicle and at the gas bottle
- Close all the vents in the roof
- Turn the water pump off
- Make sure your electric step (in some vehicles) is retracted
- Make sure all your cupboards are all closed securely
- Have a look around the inside of the vehicle, is there anything that could fall off a bench or table?
There are districts in New Zealand that do not permit you to freedom camp. These areas may or may not be clearly sign posted. We recommend that you assume nothing and always check with a local first. The Visitor Information Centres or ‘iSites’ will always be able to advise you.
